The Restaurant
Saxtys has always had an excellent reputation for its food and is very proud of our Head Chef Mickey Osedo who has created an exciting menu which complements our modern and stylishly designed restaurant. All dishes are freshly made on site and cooked to order with an emphasis on using local fresh ingredients. Our Restaurant is open seven days a week, catering for people looking for good quality at a reasonable price.
We welcome children during the day and early evening and have a special children’s menu with all their favourite things, all homemade and starting at £4.95. There are plenty of high chairs and even a big box of toys to keep them happy!
On Mondays to Saturdays, we have an A la Carte Menu featuring our twist on some classic pub “favourites” available all day from 12pm – 9pm. This is complimented during the day time with our Lunch menu including homemade burgers as well as light snacks, sandwiches, omelettes and salads served all day until 6pm. Our restaurant has been a popular steakhouse serving the people of Hereford since 1977 and to continue this tradition we offer a superb Steak & Grill Menu alongside our other menus offering various cuts of prime Herefordshire Steak, also available all day and evening.
In addition to all of this, we also have our popular dinner with wine for £29 for 2 offer - 2 people + 2 starters + 2 mains and a bottle of Wine from just £29. This deal is available all day 12pm – 9pm Monday to Saturday, so you can linger over a long lunch or enjoy this great value two course meal with wine in the evening.*
On Sundays we serve traditional Roast Dinner every Sunday from 12pm until 6pm with a choice of Roasts starting at £9.95 for one course. There are also vegetarian options and “non Roast” dishes available and on Sundays Kids eat free!*

To complement your meal, we are also able to offer a an excellent Wine and Champagne list. There are always several each of our House Red and White wines available by the glass, along with a good choice of other wines by the bottle. We deal direct with many of our suppliers so our wine list constantly changes and all tastes are catered for, with good quality wines ranging in price from £13.95 to £99.00 and Champagnes from £32.90 to over £200 per bottle. Our restaurant has been designed and decorated through an award winning supplier and is able to cater for up to 52 people with a multi height dining experience. There are bespoke private dining booths seating 4 to 8 people and high dining tables which can cater for parties up to 20, ideal for anything from private business luncheons to birthday celebrations. One of our specialties and where we have an excellent reputation is catering for larger parties and events. We can cater for sit down meals for 80 people and hot and cold buffets for up to 120 people. Events such as wedding receptions, christenings, sporting and charity dinners are held regularly in the Library. Our Buffet Menus suit all budgets and appetites, offering 2 or 3 course options on a range of hot and cold buffet dishes, giving you excellent value for money on your favourite choices, all freshly prepared on site.
